“Miss Aida is an amazing Hoodoo teacher and an authentic practitioner with a lifetime of experience. I began her class believing I understood Hoodoo, but soon realized I had bits and pieces of misinformation. I not only achieved a stronger understanding of Hoodoo’s traditional practices, but also gained an even greater appreciation, respect, and love for our original practitioners who endured significant pain and suffering. I now feel much more equipped as a practitioner.
Miss Aida provides the ultimate learning environment through live demonstrations, in-depth lectures, guest speakers, and one-on-one opportunities with her to quickly check proficiency on certain concepts. She also fosters a sense of community among classmates and encourages questions.”

“This course was an incredibly high-quality learning experience. Miss Aida is deeply knowledgeable, professional, and clearly brings both lived experience and years of study to her teaching. Learning from someone who not only understands the history and traditions of Hoodoo, but has truly practiced and preserved this knowledge, made the course feel authentic and meaningful. The lessons were well organized, the books were excellent resources, and each topic was explained in a way that was easy to understand while still being rich in detail.
What I learned in this course feels invaluable. I gained a deeper appreciation for the cultural roots of Hoodoo, the importance of intention, and the responsibility that comes with learning these traditions. Miss Aida created a respectful and supportive learning environment, and it is clear she cares deeply about teaching this subject the right way. I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn from such an experienced and professional teacher.”

“Miss Aida is an amazing person. I had the pleasure of attending her class and I just knew from the first time I spoke with her that this was pure alignment. I have learned so much from Miss Aida. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to be in her class. Miss Aida not only provided a wealth of information, but she also provided a space where I felt safe-- a space where it was okay to learn and speak freely.
Miss Aida’s love for Hoodoo and her knowledge on it is unmeasurable. I learned so much in this class. My heart is breaking with it ending. I plan on taking more courses if Miss Aida teaches them in the future. She’s such a sweetheart full of love and knowledge. I will forever cherish the knowledge and the love that I gained in this class. I gained an extended family. I am now more confident and I feel empowered. Thank you Miss Aida for everything.”

“This course is totally worth the cost to learn Hoodoo, but it is not for the faint of heart. If you don’t love and embrace the African American people and traditions, or are not willing to, you have no business getting involved in Hoodoo.
This tradition is born of people who suffered, and continue to suffer, terror at the hands of racists. So many have inflicted, and continue to inflict, horrendous acts on African Americans. It’s way worse than you may suspect. So much has been whitewashed by popular media, and many people don’t know what was, and still is, happening to innocent African Americans because of their skin color. Slavery is still happening, abuse is still happening, corrupt people are still abusing their power to inflict pain on African American people with no just cause. I don’t know how anyone can live with themselves knowing how bad it is, It was painful to me to acknowledge what my own ancestors may have done, or supported, acts that hurt innocent people.
If you are taking this course, you may need to face what your own ancestors did or supported and come to terms with it. What will you do better? If you are interested in taking this class, you may have to face your own ancestral demons of racism and defeat them. Hoodoo is a form of magic yes, but it is born of pain and hardship and abuse when the system is skewed against you. When truth doesn’t matter to the system, sometimes you have to take things into your own hands with magic to try to get justice and to survive.”
